The compatibility between the performance of lining fabric and the performance of the fabric is an important factor in selecting lining fabric. The physical properties of fabrics are closely related to the thickness, elasticity, drape, heat resistance, and ironing of lining fabrics.
(1) The relationship between the thickness of the fabric and the thickness of the lining fabric is proportional. For autumn and winter clothing, the fabric is relatively thick, and the lining fabric is also relatively thick. Spinning lining fabric is mainly used, while for spring and summer clothing, the fabric is thinner and the lining fabric is relatively thinner.
(2) The relationship between fabric elasticity and lining elasticity is also directly proportional. Elastic fabrics should choose elastic lining fabrics, and fabrics with stretchability should choose lining fabrics with stretchability, which can maintain the original characteristics of the fabric.
(3) The connection between fabric drape and lining fabric is mainly reflected in the selection of relatively soft and lightweight lining fabric for soft and elegant clothing styling, as well as diagonal yarn lining fabric. For exaggerated and geometric contour clothing styling, stiff and thick lining fabric can be used.
(4) The relationship between the heat resistance of fabrics and the ironing temperature of lining fabrics mainly involves selecting lining fabrics with high ironing temperatures (i.e. high-temperature lining fabrics) for fabrics with strong heat resistance, and selecting lining fabrics with low ironing temperatures (i.e. low-temperature lining fabrics) for fabrics with low heat resistance. Correspondingly, adjust the pressure and ironing time required for the lining fabric according to the fabric.
